You'll join a local Civil Engineering team of 6 in Manchester, forming part of a larger Civil & Structural (C&S) team of approximately 16 colleagues. The team brings together a broad range of experience and expertise, providing excellent opportunities for learning, development, and support from senior engineers and technical specialists.

The C&S team is embedded within Manchester's integrated multidisciplinary Buildings team, working collaboratively with colleagues across a wide range of disciplines to deliver projects throughout the North West. In addition to local project work, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with teams in other offices across the business, contributing to a number of regional and national schemes.

The team delivers civil engineering design and construction supervision across the full project lifecycle, from site acquisition and concept design through planning, detailed design, tender, construction, and early operation. Projects span a range of sectors, including industrial (logistics, distribution, manufacturing, and data centres), residential (masterplanning and detailed infrastructure design), and municipal developments, particularly education and healthcare schemes.

About The Role

You'll be supporting the civil engineering team in the delivery of projects across a range of sectors, you'll assist with the production of engineering calculations, design drawings, and technical reports, while contributing to the development of practical and sustainable engineering solutions. You'll attend project and design team meetings, undertake construction site visits, and gain exposure to all aspects of civil engineering design and project delivery, from initial concepts through to construction and completion.
