Join our 2027 (Autumn) Graduate Programme as a Graduate Fire Engineer in our Manchester office, where you will be part of a market-leading Buildings discipline.
You'll join a Fire Engineering team of eight engineers at varying stages of their careers, providing excellent opportunities to learn from experienced professionals and develop your technical skills. The team operates as part of an integrated regional business of more than 100 professionals across our North West offices.
We work closely with our Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) and Civil & Structural (C&S) colleagues, delivering a highly collaborative approach on multidisciplinary projects and long-term frameworks. This provides graduates with valuable exposure to a broad range of disciplines, projects, and clients from the outset of their careers.
Aligned with the Government Advisory Panel's Authoritative Statement on Fire Engineering, we're committed to developing engineers with a strong understanding of fire engineering first principles and the skills to apply them effectively to real-world challenges.
As a Graduate Fire Engineer, you'll support the delivery of fire engineering projects by applying fundamental engineering principles and contributing to technical assessments, reports, and design documentation. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders, attend project, design team, and client meetings, and complete project tasks within agreed timescales. You'll also take an active role in developing your technical knowledge and professional skills through mentoring, project experience, and continuous self-learning.

At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering degree with modules relating to Fire Safety and Fire Engineering, knowledge of Pyrosim and FDS would be beneficial, and a keen interest in working in the Buildings sector, you'll be:
