The Stantec community unites more than 34,000 employees working in over 450 locations across 6 continents. We have been working with our clients and communities in the UK for over 150 years. We plan, design, deliver and manage the development and infrastructure needed to support the creation of sustainable, healthy and prosperous communities.
Our teams provide effective and relevant solutions, translating our clients’ vision into valued consents, deliverable plans for projects and programmes, and efficient designs for delivery, based on technical excellence and deep market insights. We deal with today’s challenges, but also keep a fairer, better tomorrow in sight, looking at how we deliver clean growth, support radical changes in our economy and meet the needs of future communities.
Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Water Networks Modeller in our Glasgow office, where you will be part of our growing clean water modelling team within the Water sector.
As a Graduate Water Networks Modeller, you will be introduced to the complex infrastructure that provides clean, safe drinking water to communities every day. You will gain exposure to hydraulic modelling, network analysis, and infrastructure planning, supporting projects that help water companies understand, optimise, and improve the performance of their distribution networks.
This opportunity offers development across hydraulic network modelling, model calibration, data analysis, and practical engineering solutions. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will see how modelling connects with digital services, asset management, hydraulic analysis, and design to support reliable, efficient, and resilient water supplies.
We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation. We will provide a structured professional progression plan supporting you to work towards professional Chartership status with relevant bodies such as the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM), or another appropriate professional body.
In this role, your modelling work will help clients understand how water networks perform, identify opportunities for improvement, and plan future investment. By supporting solutions that improve resilience, reduce leakage, manage pressure, and maintain reliable water supplies, your work will contribute to positive outcomes for communities and the environment.
At Stantec, we value your potential over experience. Along with your bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology/Water Management, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Hydro-Informatics or another relevant subject, and a keen interest in the water industry, we’d love to receive your application if you are:-
