Our electronics and electrical engineers deliver a wide range of activities that help support projects ranging from core weapons projects to building services and processes, facilities, plant and construction which all help de-risk future systems. As an Electrical or Electronic Engineer on our Undergraduate Placement Programme you will have the opportunity to work in our core product department or in our facilities support department within a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
You will be supporting essential project deliverables in either area including producing prototype electronic circuits and devices or electrical equipment installation systems. Depending on the phase of the project you are assigned to, there is an opportunity to be involved in the design, assembly, test and debug of analogue and digital electronics, electrical power supply systems, or even developing embedded software programs.
Working within AWE you will also have exposure to novel technologies and the broader company business, whilst gaining an understanding of how to work within a highly regulated security and safety environment.

You must be able to join AWE in August 2023 for 12 months. We recruit on a rolling basis which means as soon as our positions have been filled, we will close.
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role and be willing and able to work in designated areas, if applicable.
