The Role

Atmos recognises that it is difficult for a university graduate to have all the skills and experience required to develop leading edge software. To help you start a rewarding career at Atmos, we will provide training and support for you to learn the programming skills required. If you are a recent graduate in math, science or engineering and wants to learn to program, please get in touch with us.

After a period of training, you will be able to:

  • Develop and maintain a cloud infrastructure
  • Manage cloud applications
  • Maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the integrity of the cloud infrastructure and applications
  • Work with other developers to resolve service issues
  • Create and contribute to technical documentation
  • Work to create quality solutions adhering to the OWASP security standards

The experience and skills you will gain by working at Atmos include:

  • Agile Software Development
  • Network services (HTTP/S, TCP/UDP, DNS, Subnets, Routes)
  • AWS ecosystem
  • Containers – Docker, Containerd etc.
  • Orchestration – Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Nomad
  • Linux/Unix system administration
  • Source control – Git, Bitbucket etc.
  • CI/CD – Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipeline, AWS Pipeline etc.
  • Configuration Management – Ansible etc.
  • Infrastructure as Code – HashiStack (Terraform, Vault, Consul ) etc.
  • Monitoring – ELK, Prometheus etc.
  • Programming language – Golang, C#
  • Scripting knowledge – Bash, Python

To succeed in this role, you need to be

  • Analytical and good at problem solving
  • Keen to learn new technologies
  • Hard working
  • A graduate in math, science or engineering
