The Role

The role would suit an experienced engineer or a graduate who is looking for an exciting opportunity in software engineering and wants to join a great team in a fast-growing technology company.

As a Project Engineer you will be involved in the whole life cycle of projects, from the initial design stage right through to installation, commissioning and ongoing support.

Reporting to a Project Manager, the Project Engineer has the following responsibilities:

  • Preparation of quality plans to identify the nature and frequency of project/design reviews, and milestones for delivery
  • Preparation of Functional Design Specification
  • Developing and adapting the application software and hardware to the customer’s gas and liquid pipelines
  • Performing Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests
  • Installing, tuning and commissioning the company’s software and supervision of hardware installation at customer sites in different countries
  • Providing training to customer’s personnel
  • Conducting on-site service visits
  • Providing support to the customer for the real-time application software

Key Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Engineering or Physics
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Keen to work with both physical hardware (in the office and on-site) and software applications
  • Experience of pipeline/process simulation, hydraulic analysis, pipeline engineering or instrumentation/control systems would be an advantage but not required
  • Good knowledge of computer networking using DCOM or OPC would be an advantage
