Construction Services is part of the Construction, Commissioning & Integration Team, responsible for delivering projects from initial planning and design through to the safe and successful completion of physical assets. The team ensures all projects are delivered to the required quality standards while maintaining full legal and regulatory compliance on behalf of United Utilities as the Client Organisation.
As an intern, you will be encouraged to take a proactive approach to building relationships across the business and with our supply chain partners. You will gain valuable site-based and practical experience, developing an understanding of construction delivery within a live operational environment.
Our portfolio includes a diverse range of construction projects, providing broad exposure to the water industry. To gain the maximum benefit from the placement, you will need to demonstrate a work ethic, curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn, supported by an open and inquisitive mindset.
You’ll be at the forefront of managing relationships with third parties and stakeholders, ensuring our projects are innovative, reliable, and cost-effective. Your role will involve providing crucial technical input on construction schedules, quality, safety, environment, and cost, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
We require our interns to be expecting a minimum 2:1 degree in Engineering, Construction, Surveying or Architecture. You must be in your penultimate year of university study.
