Unleashing the Power of Data for Career Success

By beginning your career in data you’ll have the power to shape both your future and the world around you. Working with data is fundamentally about driving positive change.

Whether optimising business processes, enhancing public services, fostering scientific breakthroughs or addressing global challenges, understanding current circumstances and adapting to new strategies are critical for success.

Every day, the world generates an astonishing amount of data, creating around 400 million terabytes of data—the equivalent storage of 1.5 billion laptops. This data comes from health and fitness apps, financial transactions, social media, autonomous vehicles, scientific research, movie-making, and more. However, understanding and utilising this data is complex, as it is often disorganised, messy, and ambiguous.

While enjoying the challenge of using data to solve real-world large scale problems, you will progress along a career path that is increasingly held in high regard. More and more companies are including Chief Data Officers (CDOs) as part of their senior leadership teams as they look to use data to choose the company’s direction and then drive it forward.

Embracing a career in data will position you at the forefront of digital transformation, providing unparalleled access to today's decision-makers and tomorrow's leaders.
