Providing opportunities for Graduate Trainees is an essential part of our strategy to develop the skills base within our organisation and most sites offer such opportunities.

Our preference is for Graduates who are aiming towards a 2:1 or higher, BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or relevant degrees. We are looking for Graduates who have undertaken a 4 year programme including a year’s work experience in a manufacturing or commercial environment. If your degree had a shorter work placement, then we will be looking for relevant experience. We take pride in offering opportunities for career moves in any of the 14 countries in which we have main sites. For this, we are keen to look for graduates with a second language.

From the outset you will be provided with a structured training plan consisting of corporate training programmes, product awareness and any technical requirements. Cummins offers bursaries to the most outstanding Placement students and Graduates follow a two-year training programme. Cummins offer employees generous training grants for postgraduate qualifications and will, wherever possible, support you to achieve chartered or professional status.

Graduates receive a range of benefits. A very competitive starting salary is only the beginning. Graduates have six monthly reviews which, if successful, can result in bonus payments. In addition we offer 25 days paid holiday, option for pension scheme, as well as local benefits such as free parking and subsidised meals at most sites. During your graduate scheme you can join a buddy scheme or get a mentor assigned for guidance and support.

Remember, our vision is clear "Making people’s lives better by unleashing the Power of Cummins" and that includes you!
