Each year, we offer a variety of exciting Graduate opportunities, reflecting the full, diverse spectrum of the Energy industry and encompassing all aspects of the Energy Transition.
The specific teams and locations, along with the individual criteria varies each year. Therefore, rather than applying to a generic programme, you apply to a specific role (or roles), ensuring that if successful, the work you do initially will be aligned to the things that particularly excite you and reflect your true motivations or skills.
Most of our Graduates possess a Bachelor's or Master's STEM degree. Typical Engineering disciplines include Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Structural, as well as other non-engineering subjects such as Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Data Analysis/Science. We also welcome specialist degrees related to Geotechnical, Environmental, Renewable and Marine engineering, Robotics/AI and Risk and Reliability.
This list is not exhaustive, and we highlight the most appropriate disciplines in our individual adverts, to help you identify which opportunities may be most suitable for you.
You’ll join us on a permanent contract, spending your first two years on our Graduate Programme. You’ll be allocated a buddy to help you settle in and work alongside our technical experts on real-world customer projects from day one. We believe this is how you develop best; utilising your skills, learning as you go, collaborating with some of the most amazing people in our industry.
In addition to your ongoing technical development, our Graduate Programme also develops your broader professional skills, as you start your journey towards chartership.
You’ll identify effective communication techniques and preferences to drive collaboration, learn how your digitalisation skills and knowledge can help us innovate and improve the way we work and also enhance your understanding of key financial and commercial concepts including our sales and bidding process, financial reporting and project lifecycles and management. You will also develop your skills around leadership and coaching as you approach the end of your programme.
Attending these professional modules also provides you with the perfect opportunity to meet up, network, and foster new relationships with your fellow graduate cohort and other colleagues elsewhere in our organisation.
