Thales Belfast has a number of direct entry opportunities in our Engineering Team dedicated to innovative and cutting edge technology solutions providing military forces with vital integrated airspace protection systems. Obtaining experience and exposure on a variety of programmes and projects, you will be working as part of a team on the design and development of innovative technical solutions that meet customer requirements and business needs. Work covers all aspects of the product lifecycle, from requirements capture and analysis through to validation and qualification.

This role would suit an Undergraduate or Masters Student that has recently completed their studies or student due to graduate in 2020 with a real interest in pursuing a career in Engineering.

Skills & Behaviours

Thales is committing to hiring individuals with a “can do” and positive attitude with a willingness to learn and improve on skills and knowledge. We are open to hear from individuals with a real interest and aspiration to pursue a career in Engineering, along with some of the key attributes:

  • Either studying or completed an Engineering & Science related degree or equivalent
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a genuine appetite to systematically solve problems end-to-end
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as individually
  • Comfortable with IT packages such as Microsoft office

Please note, you must be eligible to work in the UK and it also requires the individual to be able to obtain full Security Clearance (SC). Please refer to the UKSV website for further information regarding restrictions and limitations.
