The Opportunity

Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Project Manager in our vibrant Newcastle office, where you will be part of a market-leading Energy team.

About The Role

As a Graduate Project Manager, you will balance technical learning with practical project delivery to support the energy sector across the UK. You will operate within our growing Energy team, which includes a dedicated Project Management discipline of circa 20 specialists. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Invoicing & Financial Support: Assisting with the financial management of projects, including processing invoices and tracking project spend.
  • Meeting Support: Providing essential administration for project meetings, including capturing accurate minutes and tracking action items.
  • Cost Monitoring & Estimating: Assisting with project cost controls, budget monitoring, and the development of initial budget estimates.
  • Scheduling Support: Supporting the creation, maintenance, and tracking of project schedules and timelines.
  • Subcontractor Management: Helping coordinate and manage third-party subcontractors to ensure deliverables align with project needs.

We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation. The applicable professional qualification for this role is Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) status with the Association for Project Management (APM). You will actively follow the APM pathway to achieve this milestone.

Your Impact

This role is fundamental to securing the future of energy sustainability and infrastructure across the UK. By supporting critical projects in Hydropower and Dams, Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Nuclear, and Energy from Waste, you will contribute to the long-term resilience of our national infrastructure and the transition to cleaner energy. Your work will directly influence how communities adapt to shifting energy demands and climate goals, moving beyond simple task coordination to help deliver complex engineering projects. Ultimately, your contributions will help define the national roadmap for energy security, ensuring a positive, lasting legacy for the clients and communities we serve.
