We are looking for a Graduate Sustainability & Carbon Management Consultant to be based in Edinburgh, joining our 2027 Graduate Programme.
Stantec UK has a market-leading Environmental Services group, supporting clients across their environmental, geotechnical and water disciplines.
Within our Environmental Services group, we are seeking Graduate Net Zero, Climate Change and Sustainability consultants to join our team, who are passionate about climate change, the Net Zero challenge, social value and wider sustainability.
You will learn to provide practical solutions to our clients that integrate different disciplines and perspectives, in ways that bring real and lasting benefits to communities and the environment.
We will help you to engage with the latest climate change and sustainability legislation, policy and guidance, as well as to develop your capabilities in sustainability and carbon consulting.
As a member of our team, you'll work closely with experienced team members to develop your skills and knowledge. We'll provide you with opportunities to learn and grow, while you help us deliver successful projects for our clients.
Key is your passion for climate change, the Net Zero challenge, social value and wider sustainability as demonstrated in your studies or work experience. You will enjoy evaluating options by understanding context and risks, and developing practical solutions that integrate different disciplines and perspectives, in ways that bring real and lasting benefits to communities and the environment.
You should be able to organise and manage your own activities, dealing effectively with multiple priorities with a structured approach, and able to switch between a variety of dynamic and exciting tasks. You’ll be motivated and proactive in your work, exhibiting ownership of your workload, and having the desire to make a real difference.
In this role, your modelling work will help clients understand how water networks perform, identify opportunities for improvement, and plan future investment. By supporting solutions that improve resilience, reduce leakage, manage pressure, and maintain reliable water supplies, your work will contribute to positive outcomes for communities and the environment.
