Candidates may be asked to undertake aptitude testing, a practical skills test and/or a presentation on a relevant topic as part of the interview; this will be explained when being invited to complete testing or invited to interview.
If an aptitude test is required, candidates may be asked to complete them before or during the interview and a link will be sent providing further information on the tests.

We will normally shortlist candidates within two weeks of the closing date, however, this may vary when we have significant numbers of applicants. If you are called for interview, we will normally give you at least one day’s notice before the interview date. If you have not been contacted within 4 weeks of the closing date, please assume that you have not been successful.

Once the interviews are complete, and a preferred candidate(s) is selected, a formal offer of employment will be made. Conditions will include a Baseline Personal Standard Security check and may include security clearance.
All job offers are made subject to completion of a probationary period of 6 months. We will ask you to accept the offer by signing and returning documents before commencing work with us.

In order to work at Martin-Baker, you will need to successfully complete our screening process, which includes a 5-year personal history and right to work check. This involves the following:
You will be asked to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK and confirmation of your current address.
You will be asked to provide the employment dates, company names and addresses of all of your previous employers (including recruitment agencies) for the last 5 years, even if you only worked there for a few days. If you have any career gaps you will need to include a reason and documentary evidence. If you have recently been in full-time education you will need to provide us with details of the educational institution course, dates and duration.
We will need to complete a criminal record check and may require you to be security cleared.
You will be supported throughout the screening process, but it is your responsibility to provide complete and accurate information and appropriate evidence at all stages of the process.
