Department name: Design Support
The role holder should be a student who is looking for a twelve-month programme within our Design Support Department. The role of the Design Support Department considers the in-service use of Martin-Baker products. The aim of the department is to provide technical support services for customers, as well as ensuring that in-service ‘lessons learnt’ and requirements are translated into the design during the development and qualification of the products. The department is made up of a number of disciplines and considers various aspects of how the product will be used and how technically acceptable it is during all phases of the engineering process, from Design concept, testing, qualification, production and throughout its life cycle.
The position will require you to undertake a wide variety of project related engineering tasks including some or all of the following:
You will be provided with appropriate training/mentoring in support of conducting these tasks.
To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required/instructed in order to maintain and/or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by the Design Support Department.
You must be working towards a good degree (1st or Upper 2nd Class Honours) in an appropriate science based subject (e.g. most engineering disciplines such as mechanical engineering, aeronautical or aerospace engineering, systems engineering, physics, mathematics, etc).
