The role holder should be a student who is looking for a twelve-month programme within our Product & Engineering Support Department. The role of the Product & Engineering Support Department considers the in-service use of Martin-Baker products. The aim of the department is to provide technical support services for customers and expert reliability, safety, and maintainability guidance to the engineering design team during the development and qualification of new technologies. The department is made up of several disciplines and considers various aspects of how the product will be used and how technically acceptable it is during all phases of the engineering process, from Design concept, testing, qualification, production and throughout its life cycle.
The position will require you to undertake a wide variety of project related engineering tasks including some or all of the following:
Marginality of Success Analysis
Failure Mode Effect and Criticality analysis (FMECA)
System Safety Analysis
Report Writing / Technical Documentation
Integrated Logistic Support Analysis
Use of Excel and other Technical/Analytical Software
To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by the Product & Engineering Support Department.
You will be provided with appropriate training/mentoring in support of conducting these tasks.
Education & Qualifications:
You must be working towards a good degree (1st or Upper 2nd Class Honours) in an appropriate science-based subject (e.g., most engineering disciplines such as mechanical engineering, aeronautical or aerospace engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, etc).

Able to read and visualise technical drawings and schematics
Sound grasp of scientific/engineering theory balanced with a practical approach to engineering problems
