Degree Apprentice - Data Analyst

What is on offer?

We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Data Analyst Apprentice to join our IT team based in Prescot. Are you highly self-motivated and ambitious to build excellent data skills in a growing business with global opportunities whilst working towards your IT degree? Do you have what it takes? 

Based in our global headquarters, your typical work will build through the Apprenticeship to include:

  • Responding to data requests in a timely and efficient manner. 

  • Cleansing, processing and managing real-world data in [near-] real time. 

  • Interrogating data using multiple tools and techniques in order to generate value 
for your internal and external clients. 

  • Collaborating with colleagues across the data team, IT team and the wider 

Desired skills 

  • Strong communicator including verbal communication and listening 

  • Ability to work independently whilst being a strong team member 

  • Highly numerate/mathematically capable 

  • Basic programming and/or SQL preferable 

  • Spanish, French and/or Mandarin language skills would be highly beneficial

Personal qualities 

  • Be genuinely passionate about data and data science, and its value 

  • 'Right First Time’ mindset 

  • Attention to detail 

  • Enthusiasm to learn new & challenging skills 

Desired qualifications 

  • Five GCSE Grade C/5 or above including Maths, English and Science 

  • A Level(s) or equivalent in IT, Maths and/or Science(s) 

Future prospects

Our need to be smart in our use of data and the associated challenges are only going to grow, so after your successful Degree Apprenticeship, become a ‘go to’ person on data in our organisation. 

Things to consider 

  • Must be at least 18 years old by start of Apprenticeship 

  • Regular salary reviews building to Data Analyst salary by the end of 
Apprenticeship, subject to required performance.
