Year-out placements

This could be the ideal place to understand more about Tilbury Douglas and to apply the knowledge you have gained in your degree so far. We offer a structured year-out placement which is the first step in the pathway to our hugely popular graduate programme.

A year-out placement can be offered to students who are studying a construction related degree where a sandwich/year in industry placement is required. Our year-out placements provide a fantastic opportunity to gain some quality site experience.

You will be performing a ‘real’ job but will be fully supported by our project team to provide you with breadth of experience and develop you while you are with us. Throughout your placement, you will be well supported, receiving professional mentorship and guidance whilst receiving structured development setting you up with everything you need to support your studies and build a potential career.

If you enjoy your placement with us there is an opportunity for us to sponsor you for your final year. Many of our undergraduates have come back to us and gone on to have long, successful careers. With the variety and breadth our business offers, the opportunities are endless.

Summer placements

This is a up to 12-week paid placement commencing ideally in either June, July or August. Summer placements are an ideal opportunity for those studying towards a construction related qualification to gain some valuable hands-on site experience which will support your studies.

We will carry outs regular reviews with students accepted on placements while they are with us, to identify high performers who would be suitable to fast-track onto our graduate programme at the end of their studies.

You will be working on a live construction site, supported by our professional team who will support you to gain some excellent experience whilst also massively contributing to one of our projects.

We have opportunities at lots of locations across the UK, so just search for a vacancy near you, where you will receive a competitive salary and take a big step towards a place on our graduate scheme.
