About us:

Airbus is a community of engineers who have an effective and sustainable relationship with airlines, committed to engineering excellence incorporated into our aircraft.

The A330 Family is the most successful widebody family to date, dominating the widebody short to medium haul market. Highly versatile, it flies efficiently on routes ranging from less than 1 hour to over 17 hours, and has led to the popular Freighter and Air to air refueling variants. The latest improvements seen in the A330Neo have delivered increased range, improved operating costs and is a leader in sustainable air travel. With new improvements always being assessed to further excite our customers.

Airbus Internships

Do you want to gain valuable experience and take on responsibility from the start? Then apply for an internship at Airbus.

As members of the A330 UK Chief Engineer’s team, we lead future development projects to further improve performance and reliability, as well as driving our primary responsibility of the airworthiness and safety of the Wing, Landing Gear, Fuel and Inerting systems. In addition we support the final assembly lines of the aircraft across Europe, and the delivery teams as they hand over the aircraft to airlines around the world.

We are looking for a dedicated placement student to join our highly experienced, friendly, motivated, and autonomous team.

What will you be doing?

Success in this role will be largely down to you, but typically you will be:

  • Involved in liaising and integrating across a number of teams, e.g. Overall Aircraft Design, Engineering, Airworthiness, Supply management, and more.
  • Help the teams to continuously develop by highlighting inefficiencies in the established ways of working.
  • Developing yourself – your confidence, your technical capability, and knowledge and working with many people in a diverse environment.
  • Potential opportunity to travel between Airbus sites (if available).

About you!

Please note, we love your interest in working for Airbus but we do ask that you make only one application. We encourage you to take time to decide which of our exciting opportunities is right for you and then submit an application that best represents you, your skills and experience in connection with the role you have selected.

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Happy to act in a proactive manner to meet personal and team objectives.

What’s in it for you?

By joining our team as an intern you will:

  • Have the opportunity to work and collaborate with teams across different countries in Europe and worldwide.
  • Be making a difference through being involved in transformation and change projects for the company.
  • Improve your chances of a future role within Airbus while also benefiting your studies.
