Application Process

Would you like to know more about the next steps?

If you're interested in one of our opportunities but still have questions we haven't answered, this page will give you those answers.

Will I be successful?

While we can’t answer that question on a website page, we can tell you who we are looking for so you can decide if that’s you. We're looking for someone who will bring something extra, who is excited by engineering and wants to share that with a similarly interested team.

You're likely to have your own engineering projects you're exploring in your free time and be able to tell us about something you've developed on your own. We're looking forward to finding out how curious you are about engineering.

What happens next?

Throughout the application window, we'll consider all submissions as they arrive, letting successful individuals know their next steps as soon as we can. We'll invite you to an online interview (via Teams) where you will find out more about Partner Electronics and we'll find out more about you.

Then, if we – and you – want to take the application further, we'll invite you to a second interview at our office in Silverstone (financial support for travel will be considered if you require it).

The in-person interview gives us a chance to find out how you work. We'll send you some questions beforehand so you can prepare, and then - during the interview - we can see how you have approached these exercises.

What can I expect if I join?

You'll be assigned a team and mentor when you join us at Partner Electronics. You will receive ongoing training with training logs for the first few months.

Then, you'll be able to focus more on your specific areas of interest as part of a competency matrix with external coaching and mentoring also provided. We encourage you to tell us what you're enjoying and what you are interested in so that we can provide the best opportunities for you and the team.

Engineering is constantly evolving, so we need engineers who want to learn new things and find new applications for their knowledge. Is this you?

Within your team, you will be supported with daily catchups and check-ins. We expect you to spend most of your time working from the office, as much of our work is collaborative and hands-on. We've provided an environment that supports effective development – we think you'll like it here.
