The Role
This role is suitable for a graduate who is looking for an exciting opportunity in software and hardware engineering and wants to join a great team in a fast-growing technology company.
As a Project Engineer you would be involved in the whole life cycle of projects, from the initial design stage right through to installation, commissioning and maintenance.
What you’ll be doing:
Preparation of quality plans to identify the nature and frequency of maintenance/project/design reviews, client reviews, control points and inspections.
Control and co-ordination of projects and maintenance of the projects quality records.
Control of all obsolete and non-conforming documentation.
Carrying out and documenting project design reviews.
Developing and adapting the company pipeline software to the customer’s gas and liquid pipelines.
Preparation of progress reports and attending project meetings.
Carrying out and reporting feasibility studies for individual pipelines.
Performing Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests.
Installing, tuning and commissioning the company’s software at Client’s site in different countries.
Providing training to Client’s personnel.
Preparing system operating and maintenance manuals.
Conducting on-site service visits.
Applying corrections to projects following non-conformances from quality audits.
Performing maintenance of the company’s installed software according to the product’s warranty and project’s maintenance contract (if one exists).
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor or higher degree in Engineering or Physics – a specific software/hardware engineering degree would be advantageous but not essential.
Excellent computer skills, familiar with VB.NET, C# or C++
Good knowledge of computer networking using DCOM or OPC
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Experience or a good understanding of scripting/coding, ideally familiar with MatLab
Experience of pipeline/process simulation, hydraulic analysis, pipeline engineering or instrumentation/control systems would be an advantage but not required
