I've always had an interest in things like cars and mechanics so wanted to go into engineering. I really enjoy it, every day is different. I started at a local biofuel company as an apprentice and since I graduated I got a new job, so I'm now working across three sites.
The industry is definitely male-dominated, but I did it at school and I really enjoyed it. I've always wanted to go into this industry. I feel like I've proved to myself that I can do it and when I started my apprenticeship I think people thought, 'Oh, she's a girl, she's not going to be very good', but I've proved them all wrong.
