As one of the world’s leading engineering, professional services and technical consultancy firms, at WSP, we’re passionate about the big questions. And big answers, naturally. For us that’s all about reaching beyond the expected to do work that’ll make a profound impact felt long into the future.
As a Graduate Building Services Engineer at WSP you could join our teams working on projects such as projects including the new Bond Street Station, the Mall of Egypt (featuring an indoor snow park) and the redevelopment of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Our Building Services teams make buildings work efficiently and effectively. You would help to make buildings comfortable, with the right levels of heat and ventilation, daylight and artificial lighting. You would make them economical to run, reducing energy and water use for a better environment. It is also important to ensure that a building is safe and secure, easy to maintain and compliant with the relevant legislation. In every instance you would think about the building as a whole, and how the services integrate with each other and with the rest of the building.
We asked our graduates what it’s like to do their job. On a day to day basis, the life of a graduate at WSP starts off in the morning with cups of tea and responding to any urgent client emails.
Naturally, there is a lot to learn and you are likely to be guided through complex software packages, team briefings and client updates from the start.
