Unlock potential everywhere
Every challenge is an invitation for us to dream big. Strengthen community resilience. Unleash the possibilities of a place. Together, let’s unlock potential everywhere.

We are looking for graduates to join our Engagement team in 2027. This is an opportunity to work in a leading engineering and professional services consultancy, helping people understand and engage with projects that shape where they live, work and travel. You’ll support clients and project teams by turning technical information into clear, accessible communications, contributing to consultation activity and helping feedback inform responsible, well-considered decisions.

Opportunities are available in: Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, London, South East, Birmingham or Cardiff

A little bit more about your role and the team…

As a graduate in our Planning Engagement team, you’ll help people understand and engage with projects that can shape where they live, work and travel. You’ll turn technical information into clear, accessible communications, support consultation activity and help project teams listen to feedback so schemes can develop in a responsible and informed way.

You could support engagement on major projects across areas such as transport, energy, utilities, regeneration and infrastructure, helping communities, stakeholders and project teams understand proposals and contribute to the development of responsible, informed schemes.

From preparing consultation materials and stakeholder updates to supporting events, analysing feedback and working alongside planners, engineers and environmental specialists, you’ll build your understanding of how effective engagement helps projects progress while reflecting the views and needs of the people they affect.

What we’re looking for

  • You will have, or be on track to achieve, at least a 2:2 in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • You will be looking to start work in April or in September 2027.
  • You will have an interest in transport planning, mobility, transport modelling, sustainable transport, active travel, public transport or transport strategy.
  • You will be curious, collaborative and motivated to solve challenges that improve how people and goods move through our communities.
  • You will enjoy working with others, sharing ideas and learning from different specialists across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • You will be interested in understanding the social, environmental and economic impacts of transport and helping to develop sustainable solutions.
  • You will want to take ownership of your work and development, while helping to create value for our clients.
  • You will be eager to learn, develop new skills and broaden your experience through technical analysis, stakeholder engagement and project delivery.

Don’t quite meet all the criteria? Should you have the right qualifications for our roles, apply and we can see how your experience aligns to this role and other opportunities we have available for our Graduate programme.
