The Analysis, Modelling and Simulation groups encompass a range of experts who apply analysis, modelling and simulation tools and techniques across a variety of customer domains.
Knowledge, skills and personal qualities required:
A suitably recognised science or engineering related qualification at a degree level or higher in accordance with the specific posts.
Good interpersonal, influencing, analytical and team working skills.

We have growing teams working on important new Cyber and Information topics, including: development and application of Data Analytics and Big Data techniques; development of Synthetic Environments, Augmented Reality and Live-Synthetic Environments for training and evaluation; and Autonomy and control of autonomous vehicles and systems.
Our trials teams work at many of QinetiQ’s UK maritime and land ranges, as well as some overseas facilities, and in our 5m wind tunnel, making highly complex electromagnetic, acoustics, aerodynamic and other measurements and performing detailed analyses of the resulting data. Our people also perform computational modelling of aerodynamic and hydrodynamic flows, ballistics and energetics, in support of design or for evaluation purposes using bespoke and commercial tools and techniques.
Ensure that customers’ requirements and tasks are fully understood and that problems and issues are reliably identified at the outset.
Contribute to the completion of, a detailed technical and commercial proposal for meeting customers’ requirements; provide presentations, reports and papers to customers and at conferences and symposia in support of the bid process as required.
Build and maintain technical networks internally and externally; develop good personal relationships.
This role is likely to involve travel in UK and possibly overseas and occasional periods away from home.
Graduates are expected to demonstrate objectivity, impartiality, detachment and integrity in delivering their contribution to QinetiQ’s goals.
